6:30pm Friday

Meditation is a powerful practice that can ground, centre, and reduce stress in today’s over-stimulated world. Many people would like to meditate but feel that it is just too hard with their busy minds and hectic lifestyle. When we enter into a meditation practice we allow space for the mind to become still. We do not need to start with a still mind.

This class is dedicated to creating an experience of meditation that is achievable and enjoyable in your everyday life. It is beneficial to new and practiced meditators alike with the use of sound vibrations to help quiet the mind and balance the body.

Guided by our director, teacher and intuitive healer, Eli Haski, this class presents the perfect opportunity to begin or continue your journey to de-stress and quiet your mind. Drawing on the energetics of the time, moon transitions, her deeply intuitive nature and sound healing experience, these session can be a deeply healing experience if you have this intention. You can also find deep relaxation and spaciousness of the mind to find clarity and ease with the process of quieting the mind.

The benefits of meditation and mindfulness practices are extremely well documented. Meditation is scientifically shown to increase happiness, well-being, and a sense of inner stability, and is also known to reduce stress and the risk of major health issues.

This class presents a progressive approach to experiencing and enjoying meditation! It includes the use of sound therapy, using quartz crystal chakra singing bowls and other sound healing instruments, guided relaxation, and shared silence. This class has a strong community of regulars that are warm and welcoming. We would love you to join us and share in the wonderful experience of group meditation and sound healing.

Sound healing is an ancient practice that uses vibrations from instruments, the human voice, or frequencies to promote physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being. Its roots trace back thousands of years across multiple cultures.

Ancient Egyptians used sound therapy in healing temples; Aboriginal Australians have used the didgeridoo as a sound healing tool for over 40,000 years; and in ancient Greece, sound was employed in healing rituals, with philosophers like Pythagoras believing that musical intervals could harmonize the body and soul.

In Eastern traditions, Tibetan singing bowls, gongs, and chanting have long been used in meditation and spiritual ceremonies. Modern sound healing combines these ancient methods with contemporary understanding of how sound frequencies can affect brainwaves, reduce stress, enhance relaxation, and even support cellular healing.

Today, sound healing may include practices like sound baths, tuning fork therapy, or vibrational therapy, all aiming to bring the body into a state of balance and harmony.
