Jo teaches Restorative Yoga
Jo Carroll loves that every time she steps onto the mat she learns something new, either about herself or yoga. This learning is lifelong, as nothing is constant so you can never learn everything about yoga or yourself. Yoga supports her health and wellbeing, helping her to build strength, let go of tension and most importantly rest and restore.
TRAINING & QUALIFICATIONS
Jo trained in ISHTA Yoga with Rachel Zinman in South Africa. ISHTA stands for the Integrated System of Hatha, Tantra and Ayurveda, and is yoga for the individual. It is simple, builds strength and prepares the mind to be able to grasp the knowledge of who you are.
Rachel Zinman’s philosophies and approach to yoga resonated strongly with Jo. She also learnt Self Knowledge from Rachel’s husband John Weddepohl, whose wisdom and stories inspired great self-exploration.
Jo’s classes are designed to support individuals to find the poses at suit their body as they show up on the mat for practice that day. They encourage you to tune into your body and listen to what it needs. While stress may be constant in many peoples lives, her intention for her classes is to provide time out from this stress to allow the body to rest and restore. The techniques used within class can be integrated into everyday life to help students manage the stress and busyness of modern life.
