It’s a New Year and the future is bright
Happy New Year! I hope you are doing well and had a great start to 2023!
I have a feeling that this year is going to be great! With yoga in our life, we already have heightened awareness and an understanding that we can shape our own lives. So let’s get to work and start creating the life we want!
It’s time to put yourself first!
How many times have you bent yourself to someone else’s will? Done things out of obligation? Put others’ needs before your own and then paid a price?
It’s insidiously common for us to put others before ourselves, to bend and stretch to others’ needs and neglect our own. Then we feel tired, grumpy, and completely spent. Worst case, burnt out.
This year things are different.
This is the year of putting yourself first!
Not only is it important and healthy, but it’s essential for self-preservation and self-care. And the best part is you can tailor your self-care to what lights you up.
Finding the practices and rituals that nourish you deeply are all part of the process. Scheduling them into your day and making them a priority is the key.
Take some time to think about what you need
and where can you fit it into your day.
Are there a few practices that don’t take long
but really make a difference to you?
Where can you find the time for them?
Make them part of your daily routine!
Before long you will be in the swing of it, you will feel great and more space will open up in your life filled with joy and love.
