I hope you’re settling into the year well and enjoying this bit of cooler weather.
I am back from my trip to India with Radhika and what a trip it was!
It is hard to describe how I feel on my return. Our days were filled with incredible sights, sounds, smells, and tastes. We visited temples and holy places that touched my soul in ways I never could have imagined. We experienced spiritual practices very different from what I have known, from quiet serene places to bustling noisy, enthusiastic, and ecstatic worship.
I was overwhelmed and elated, calm and steady, unsure and totally grounded often all at the same time. I have been torn open, challenged, supported, and cared for. I have discovered a surety within myself that feels like home and has left me more steady and focused on pursuing my dreams. I am anchored in gratitude for having had this experience and finally set my feet down in India.
I do not know when I will return to India, but I know I will.
We had some time at the International Yoga Festive 2023, which was AWESOME! Inspiring me to return for more training and discovering even more depth and wisdom to the practices of yoga. There is so much to learn, discover and experience and I can not wait to soak up more as soon as I can.
All in all, I feel more centred, anchored, and inspired for the future. More clear as a teacher and definitely more inspired as a student. My spiritual investigation and practice is deeper and richer, and a source of joy and solace in my life. It keeps me passionate and joyful in the darkest of times.
I hope my experience translates into my teaching; that I may be of better service and hold space with more clarity, wisdom, and joy; that my sense of spirit and my light may be a source of warmth for others, and that I leave this world better than how I found it.
Thank you Radhika for taking me on this journey, for your love and trust, and friendship. I am forever grateful.
